I grew up in the Deer Isle-Stonington area of Maine, more specifically Little Deer Isle and currently reside in Blue Hill. I graduated from the New England School of Communications at Husson University in 2012 with a bachelor of science in media studies and a concentration in journalism.
For 7 years, I worked at multiple radio stations in New England including WSCS in New Hampshire, WERU in Boston, and most recently as news director at Star 97.7/WNSX-FM in Ellsworth. I got to write, produce, and voice the local news for people in Washington and Hancock Counties. While at WNSX, I won a number of awards from the Maine Association of Broadcasters including awards in election coverage, enterprise news, continuing news, feature news, and social media. Dream Local Digital is certainly a change of pace from the radio world, but I’m ready for the new adventure.
I love meeting new people and want to help businesses improve and succeed. When I’m not at my keyboard, I enjoy fashion (I’m addicted to buying pretty dresses), playing video games, listening to podcasts, going on road trips, baking, being an aunt, and being thrifty. I also LOVE animals. I have a lhasa apso/maltese sister named Coco and an Australian Shepherd nephew named Harvey. I hope to adopt animals of my own one day and even foster some eventually. I spoil both of them rotten. I also serve on The Grand theater’s board of directors. The Grand is a non-profit theater in Ellsworth.
