Shannon Kinney, Founder and Client Success Officer of Dream Local Digital, was inducted as a new board member of the Rockland Kiwanis Club at their annual meeting at the Samoset Resort in Rockport Maine on September 24th.
“I’m so honored to have been nominated and elected as a board member of this important club,” shared Kinney. “It’s a deeply committed and dynamic group that works tirelessly year-round to raise money for children’s charities locally and globally.”
Kinney has demonstrated her serious commitment to the Rockland Kiwanis Club. She is a chair for the club’s Public Relations committee, which is responsible for informing the community about the programs, events, and objectives of the group, and also participates in many of their fundraising events including the Special Olympics fundraiser and the Kiwanis Grand Raffle. Kinney and Dream Local Digital have made great strides in publicizing the Kiwanis club online, putting the club on Facebook and online media sites, and maintaining these channels of communication. The mission of Kiwanis is changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Kinney also noted that she is following in the footsteps of her Father, Past President and current club Treasurer Sumner Kinney, and her step-mother, Past President Marjorie Kinney. “The Kiwanis Club has been an important organization to my family and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to serve as my parents have.”
