Shannon Kinney, Founder, Client Success Officer
Shannon has over 20 years of experience in the development of successful Internet products, online sales and marketing strategies. She has worked on the teams developing successful Internet brands such as cars.com
, and over 60 online media properties for newspapers all over the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years in media sales and sales management in Maine. She is an experienced speaker, trainer, advisor and consultant, and has worked with small and large companies alike, and has served more than 28,000 small businesses in online marketing workshops. She has been recognized as a Woman to Watch by Maine Biz, and as a Local Digital Innovator by the Local Media Association.
Molly Gray, Director of Sales and Operations
Molly’s enthusiastic personality has driven her toward and helped her be successful in customer service, general management, real estate and sales. Molly is originally from Bethel, Maine. She attended Gould Academy and then Jacksonville University in Florida for high school and her bachelor’s. She has lived in Midcoast Maine since 2007. Her career has led her not only to a variety of positions from sales and management in the hospitality industry, real estate, and being an entrepreneur; it’s also led her around the country to Florida and Colorado for some time. Dream Local Digital has been a fresh move forward for Molly. She’s excited to combine many of the skills she has obtained throughout her career and looks forward to working with future clients.
Alyssa Rolerson, Senior Project and Research Manager
Alyssa began at Dream Local Digital in April of 2010 as an intern and has since been promoted to Online Marketing Strategist and Project Manager. In May of 2012 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Maine at Augusta. Alyssa was born and raised in Maine, and attended the University of New Haven for one and a half years before transferring to UMA. Alyssa now oversees the project and process management team as well as the Dream Local Digital internship program.
Jason Andreoni, Designer and Production Manager
Jason has demonstrated success in helping businesses market themselves through print and online media, having worked for a combined nine years as a graphic designer and web designer/developer for a local media company. He has also been working in Web Design and Front End Development since 2004 on a freelance basis with a client base that spans the state of Maine. He handles every aspect of the process from the initial client meeting to the full deployment and delivery of their web site. At Dream Local Digital, Jason manages all production of graphics, Facebook page customizations, web work, graphic design projects, e-mail campaigns and more.
Dale Landrith, Chief Strategist
Dale grew up in Camden, Maine where he graduated from Camden-Rockport High School. He attended the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business for two years, and then finished a double major in Marketing and Management at Husson College. Dale has over ten years of strategic marketing and operations management experience, and has worked with numerous companies in manufacturing, distribution, and retail markets. Dream Local Digital is an industry change for Dale as his prior experience has been mostly in Recreational Marine companies, but his extensive experience in business marketing, operations and consulting are a perfect fit for the working with small to medium sized businesses on their marketing strategies.
Mark Whittaker, Senior Marketing Strategist & SEO Manager
Mark loves to use his more than 30 years of experience to help clients communicate with customers and prospective customers. He has been a newspaper writer, editor, online director and consultant. He has a journalism degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and a master’s certificate in Internet marketing from the University of San Francisco. Mark now lives in Pittsburgh, where he and his wife, Susan, spend their spare time learning to live in a house ruled by five cats and a dog.
Nicole McQuestion, Business Development Strategist
Nicole is a Partner Business Development Manager for Dream Local Digital, working with media companies across the U.S., to develop and launch digital marketing agencies, forming partnerships to help build new revenue streams for traditional media organizations and enhance their online business models. McQuestion started her career as an ad designer at the Kenosha News in 1997. Since then, she has been involved in many facets of the newspaper business. Over the last 7 years she has worked in the Advertising Department, starting as an Account Representative, and more recently as the Director of Client Media. In her last role she served as the managing director of KN Digital Media, a digital agency division of the Kenosha News. As a Dream Local Digital partner, she effectively sold the product line for more than a year and a half. She trained the advertising staff and worked directly with advertising clients to ensure client marketing goals were achieved through proven strategies in both digital and print. She has been recognized by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association for many award-winning advertising campaigns and received the Bill Payne Award for the best advertisement of the year in 2010. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and watching her son Adam play baseball. Nicole lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin and will be based there helping Dream Local Digital serve clients in the local area and nationwide.
Tom Tash, Graphic Designer & Marketing Strategist
Most recently the Recreation Director and Web Designer for the Town of Bridgton, Tom joins the company as a Graphic Designer and Marketing Strategist. He has a background in Recreation Management and Graphic Design and has held positions with the City of Portland and Town of Bridgton. He lives in Winthrop with his wife, Emma, and will work in the company’s headquarters in Rockland, providing creative design services to Dream Local Digital clients nationwide.
Valerie Robinson, Marketing Strategist
Valerie, born and raised in Maine, joined Dream Local Digital in February of 2014 as a Marketing Strategist, and has since transitioned into her current role as Client Success Coordinator. She previously worked in the marketing department at Whole Foods Market Tampa, and has a background in hospitality, having worked in numerous restaurants and wine bars in Maine and the Tampa Bay Area. She attended the University of South Florida, where she obtained her B.A. in Communications, and has held positions in various organizations, such as WWOOF France (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) and Sweetwater Organic CSA. She works in the company’s headquarters in Rockland, providing assistance to many of our small business clients throughout the United States and Canada.
Abby Hilt, Marketing Strategist
Abby Hilt, a recent graduate of the University of Maine, Orono, joined Dream Local Digital as a Marketing Strategist. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Art History. She has been interested in publishing and content creation since middle school and is happy to be helping our clients tell their stories online. In her free time, Abby enjoys reading books, watching far too many YouTube videos, and hanging out with her dog.
Edward Gaug, Senior Marketing Strategist
Edward recently moved to Maine, from Connecticut, where he worked for CafePress as a Social Media & Content Coordinator. He has an extensive background in journalism, social media, and graphic design, and has held positions at the Hartford Courant, LogoSportswear and Live Breathe Futbol. In his free time, Edward enjoys spending time with his wife Bridget, watching and playing soccer as well as discovering new craft beers. He lives in Orono and will be working inbetween the company’s head office in Rockland, and Bangor, building and implementing social media strategies for Dream Local Digital clients nationwide.
Lindsey Grant, Office Coordinator
Lindsey is our Office Coordinator, based in the Rockland home office. She will be working with the executive team, the internship program and supporting operations, while playing a supporting role to the entire #honeybadger team. Lindsey is currently attending the University of Maine at Rockland to pursue her degree in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in Business Administration, and hopes to develop skills that will benefit Dream Local Digital as she grows with the company. Previously, she built experience in the financial services industry as part of the management team in a Senior Customer Support role at Boston Financial Data Services. In her spare time Lindsey enjoys Maine beaches, hiking trails and frequently uses her Maine State park pass with her son. She also has a passion for instructing indoor cycling classes.
Robbie Basquez, Marketing Strategist
Robbie grew up in Brunswick, Maine and graduated from Brunswick High School in 2009. After high school, he attended Roger Williams University in Rhode Island where he graduated in 2013 with a degree in Marketing. Robbie is one of our many talented marketing strategists here at Dream Local Digital and will be working to build strategic content for his clients across the nation.
Robbie now lives in Brunswick, where he enjoys photography, sports and spending time with his family.
Emily Bennett, Project Management Assistant
Emily is a native of Waltham, Massachusetts, but grew up in a variety of coastal New England states, eventually settling down in Maine. She received her high school diploma in 2014 from the Wayfinder’s School in Camden, and is currently attending UMA. Emily began her Dream Local Digital journey as an internship project in high school; she interned there for the year, and it turns out she couldn’t stop being a honey badger so she just had to continue as a Project Management Assistant. Emily will be focusing her talents on the coordination of tasks and resources to achieve project goals.
When she’s not working, schooling, or socializing, you can expect to find Emily either reading a book, painting, or wasting her life on the internet.
Amanda McKenney, Client Services Coordinator
A Maine native, Amanda graduated from Rockland District High School and went on to study Theatre at the University of Southern Maine. She has spent the past 10+ years in the finance industry- mainly based in the New Jersey and New York Markets. As a former small business owner, Amanda is excited to be working in her new role with the Dream Local Digital Team as a Client Success Coordinator, and she looks forward to helping other small businesses succeed.
Amanda lives in Rockland, and in her free time enjoys cooking for her family and spending lots of time outside.
Kaye Peabody, Marketing Strategist
A Maine native, Kaye Peabody is a recent graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and joined Dream Local Digital as a Marketing Strategist. She holds a B.S in Business Communications, with minors in both History and Theology. Kaye has always been interested in online marketing, and is excited to be working with clients to help them reach their full potential.
Kaye is from Warren, Maine, and in her spare time you will find her searching beaches for sea glass and fossils, working on her photography, or working toward her Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Bob Holtzman, Editor
Bob Holtzman has been working in marketing communications for more than 25 years, having served as senior writer, account executive and editorial director at the PR agency Thomas Rankin Associates; director of sales & marketing at Moon Mountain Publishing; and marketing director at Penobscot Marine Museum before joining Dream Local Digital as an Editor. He has also worked as an acquiring editor at McGraw-Hill and as a copyeditor for Wild Fibers magazine.
Bob is an avid canoeist. He has written three books on outdoor sports, and he owns and manages Mythic Gear, a manufacturer of drysuits for paddlesports.
Marina French, Content Creator
A native of Rockport, ME. Marina French graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2012 and is currently a senior at Endicott College in Beverly, MA, where she is working towards a bachelors degree in Marketing. Marina is joining us for a second time in 2015 as a Content Creator. She has worked with Dream Local Digital in the past as an intern and wanted to rejoin the team to gain more experience and work with a wide variety of clients.
When Marina is not at work you can find her at the beach, on a boat, spending time with family and friends, or taking photos.
Liz Cox, Designer
Liz grew up in Appleton, Maine and graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2012. She is currently a senior at Ithaca College in New York, where she is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Communication Management and Design and a minor in Art. Liz currently lives in Camden, and has spent past summers interning locally with Habitat for Humanity and the Sierra Club.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys doodling, skiing, and getting outside.
Megan Angelastro, Marketing Strategist
Megan is a recent transplant to Maine from New York City, where she honed her marketing and PR skills as a part of Ketchum’s business development department. She fell in love with Midcoast Maine shortly after graduating from Muhlenberg College in 2012, when she spent a season sailing the Penobscot Bay on the Schooner Stephen Taber. Megan is thrilled to be back in Rockland and putting all of her skills towards helping small businesses grow their online presence.
When she’s not typing and clicking away in the Dream Local Digital headquarters, you can find Megan sailing out on the bay, hiking, beachcombing, desperately learning to knit, and compulsively checking Instagram.
Sierra Hayes, Executive Assistant & Office Coordinator
Sierra is based in Rockland and will be working directly with Dream Local Digital founder, Shannon Kinney, providing administrative and logistical support for her and the team. She grew up in Sioux Center, IA and graduated from South Dakota State University in 2012 with a degree in Human Development Family Studies. Upon finishing her course work, she moved to Connecticut and became a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor. Previously, she worked at Therma-Tron-X in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin as an Administrative and Logistics Assistant. Sierra recently moved from Sturgeon Bay to Warren, Maine.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding horse, relaxing on a beach, fishing with her husband, and visiting family and friends. She also enjoys exploring the area to get to know Maine a little better.
Merritt Becknell, Designer
Merritt Becknell recently graduated with her BFA in Applied Design & Digital Imaging. She has experience working with clients on a variety of design services. Merritt has a deep appreciation for the power of the image to communicate, inspire, & inform. .
Alexandra Desaulniers, Marketing Researcher
Alexandra joined DLD as a Market Researcher in August 2015. Raised in Turner and Rockland, Alexandra attended Milton Academy in Massachusetts before returning to the great state of Maine, graduating with Honors and Distinction from Colby College with a dual BA in Anthropology and Theater & Dance. Her previous professional experience includes from non-profit, arts, and academic communications and marketing as well as getting her hands dirty on her family’s oyster farm in South Thomaston.
Based in Washington, DC, Alexandra pursues a burgeoning acting career in her spare time.
Amy Matis, Marketing Researcher
Amy joined Dream Local as a Market Researcher in August 2015. A born and bred “Down Easter,” having grown up in the Jonesport region of Maine where she has had jobs raking blueberries, making wreaths, as well as digging clams on occasion. Other work includes working in the childhood education field, being an art gallery assistant, and raising two rather energetic kids. Amy spent time studying at Wheaton College and the University of Southern Maine before settling down to graduate from the University of Maine at Machias with degrees in both English Literature and Fine Arts.
On the serious side, she likes to support Maine farmers and local businesses as much as possible. She is excited to be officially joining the Dream Local team.
