LinkedIn University Pages

LinkedIn is making some changes to how high school students outline their college careers. Starting September 12th the minimum age to create a LinkedIn account will be lowered to 14. That way, high school students can use their LinkedIn accounts to access the new University Pages and map out their high school and college careers. The pages are designed to help students learn more about schools around the world and connect with alumni. This move will also help LinkedIn expand their user base, which could mean higher advertising rates.

Some highlights:

University Page Profile:

Alumni Data with connections:

Not only will potential students be using this new tool to help choose a university, recent graduates and alumni can use the network to launch their careers or boost their network. This is brilliant in terms of adding value and providing a more robust audience for advertisers.
