I recently moved to Portland with my husband, two energetic kids, and our rather spoiled miniature schnauzer. A born and bred “Down Easter,” I grew up in the Jonesport region of Maine where I have had jobs raking blueberries, making wreaths, as well as digging clams on occasion. I have also worked in the childhood education field, and as an art gallery assistant. I spent time studying at Wheaton College and the University of Southern Maine before settling down to graduate from the University of Maine at Machias with degrees in both English Literature and Fine Arts. I have done a good bit of travelling, and have spent time in Italy and Sweden, as well as living in Norway for several months. In my spare time, I enjoy drinking copious amounts of coffee, pretending like I know how to garden, being a science geek, and attempting to take regular naps. On the serious side, I support Maine farmers and local businesses as much as possible. I am proud to be a member of the Dream Local team.
