I’ve lived in midcoast Maine now for 5 years. Like most people from “away” I was brought here by a Maine Native. I’m a transplant all the way from Oklahoma and you could say “the wind swept me in” but I think that would be a little cliché’.
I first began my career in office support for Countrywide Home Loans in Dallas, Texas and this is where it all began for me. Later a relocation moved me to Boston where I worked for an appraisal firm as an Office Manager. I wanted to further expand my education in Business Management and attended Marian Court College in Swampscott, Massachusetts. I graduated with an Associate’s Degree and immediately put it to work. After graduating a quality of life change is what really brought me to the beautiful coast of Maine. Knowing that Rockland is a thriving community this was my opportunity to reinvent myself as many people do when they come here.
Like most in Maine we all have a second life outside our daily jobs and mine is fashion. I like reading about color, fit, fabrics and design. Fashion for me is enriching, as it has so much history. I truly enjoy helping others to maximize their appearance and confidence. I appreciate reading the New York Times fashion section to keep up on the latest trends. I also read fashion blogs and have been occasionally quoted in the Fashion Flashback section of The Wave.
