From my birth in California, my adolescence in Mid Coast Maine, my retreat to Chapel Hill North Carolina, and then my return now to Portland Maine, it’s hard to find me living in one place for too long. Less of a wanderlust and more of an eternal confusion, it’s now settling in that home can be anywhere I make it. Of course, I say that as I whimsically dream of moving to Japan one day.
Originally believing I’d be a theater major, I opted for an English degree instead at the last second. Reading my way through 2 semesters, I was accidentally introduced to the world of Advertising and Marketing when assigned to pitch scripts I had written. From that point forward, I knew that shift into knowing what I really wanted had come. Advertising and Marketing became my guilty mistress. My mind was going through the motions of loving English, but I knew deep down something captivated me even more. Add in an amazing opportunity at Dream Local and I was completely sold. The prospect of a new life chapter now looms before me, and eagerly I stare it down ready to conquer it.
My hobbies involve most everything geeky/nerdy in nature, and I have an unhealthy obsession with the Golden 1950’s era. My life’s music genre would be a dreamy mix of Shoegaze bands with a side of 80s/90s ska-punk. My passion for learning Japanese is only rivaled by my deep love of Star Wars. After all, I did change my middle name to Lando. Who doesn’t love the smoothest guy in Cloud City?
I’m excited to join the Dream Local team, and I can’t wait to see what’s waiting ahead of me. Arigatou gozaimasu!
