Get to know our newest #HoneyBadger, Katrina.

I grew up in New Jersey and am a reformed Maine summer person. I went to college at UMaine, where I earned a degree in business administration, concentrating on marketing and MIS. After college, I worked in national and international sales with children’s educational publishing. Then I transitioned into online media in the early days of sponsored content on the web, which was a great learning experience.

I love to travel, but Maine is my home base. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! I live in Winterport, where I own a former church built in the 1850s, Crooked Steeple Hall. The building has a 2-bedroom, fully furnished Airbnb with a hall above that’s being renovated for weddings. I love Airbnb and my guests. It’s so much fun hosting people from all over the world!

Earlier this year, I joined the co-working community, CoVort, in Bangor. I’ve been working remotely since 2008, and it’s nice to join a community of others who do the same thing. I’ve made a ton of great connections and had a blast co-working.

I’ve been coaching soccer for 6 years and started the Pants on Fire 5K in Winterport, which is now going into its 5th year for 2018. I love being involved in the community. I like to hike and spend as much time outside as possible. Sitting still isn’t something I’m good at!
