Shannon Kinney Inducted as Maine Lobster Festival’s Newest Board Member

The Maine Lobster Festival is happy to announce the addition of Shannon Kinney as its newest board member.

Kinney, Founder and Client Success Officer for Dream Local Digital, has been a contributing member of the Maine Lobster Festival for many years.  She and the Dream Local Digital team have contributed marketing services to the Festival, including managing their social media channels, media planning, advertising design and management, public relations, documenting Festival events, providing online customer service, and acting as liaisons between Festival coordinators and outside media.  In 2012 alone, she and her team fielded more than ten thousand inquiries and have worked to promote the Maine Lobster Festival around the world.  Kinney has also been active in other areas of the festival such as planning and the Great Crate Race.  As a member of the Maine Lobster Festival Corporation Board, Kinney will work to coordinate advertising, marketing and PR. The Maine Lobster Festival Corporation board and membership are focused on volunteerism, and profits each year are donated back to the community through several channels.

I’m honored and extremely proud to have been nominated by my esteemed peers to serve on the Maine Lobster Festival Corporation blog. This group works year-round to help promote the Maine Lobster industry to the world, and encourage visitors to enjoy five days of feasting and fun on the fabulous coast of Maine. In 2012 we brought approximately 100,000 visitors to our area while also raising thousands of dollars to give back to our community,” said Kinney in a recent interview.

The Maine Lobster Festival is excited for Shannon’s new role on their board beginning in January.  Her dedication to this organization and commitment to the Rockland community makes her a great asset, and the board is happy to welcome her.  Five days of fun and feasting on the fabulous coast of Maine!  The Maine Lobster Festival attracts thousands of people to Maine’s Midcoast region, and has a long tradition of giving back to the local community.  In recent years, the Festival committee has given more than $500,000 to the local community through support for Midcoast Regional Child Development Services, Trekkers, Meals on Wheels, and much more!  For more information about the Maine Lobster Festival, visit their website at https://www.mainelobsterfestival.com/ and “like” them on Facebook!
