Ma Jun created the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) in 2006 and leveraged social media marketing and crowd sourced documentation on pollution in Beijing to create a public outcry for clean-up and cessation of hazardous waste dumping and destruction of China’s natural landscapes.

Rebecca Van Dyck is Head of Consumer Marketing at Facebook and previously worked on Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign. Rebecca knows how to thrive anywhere in the world.

#6:  Leslie Berland

Leslie Berland is SVP, Digital Partnerships and Development at American Express. Leslie brought social currency to Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare through partnerships with her company after spending some quality time selling the value of Social Media Marketing internally at American Express.

#21:  Claire Diaz-Ortiz

Claire Diaz-Ortiz is the Manager of Social Innovation at Twitter and was the voice behind Twitter’s contribution to the World Water Day charity fundraiser online. Her ideas are being leveraged now for amplifying business marketing on the web.
