We’re happy to welcome Aubrey Burrough to the Dream Local Digital team as a marketing editor.
Here’s her background, in her own words:
I was born and raised in Melbourne, a small beach town on the east coast of Florida. I went to college at Florida State University in Tallahassee where I got my bachelor’s degree in Editing, Writing, and Media. My proudest accomplishment to this day is The Eggplant, a satire publication I co-created during my sophomore year at FSU. As editor-in-chief, I grew Eggplant from the ground up and by the time I graduated it had become one of the biggest college satire websites in the country and is still going strong today.
After college, I got my first “grown-up job” on the social media team at Universal Orlando Resort (UO). At UO, I became known internally as the “meme Khaleesi,” regularly creating audacious Twitter content that humanized the brand within the digital space.
While I will miss casually riding a roller coaster on my lunch break, I am excited for the opportunity to further hone my editing skills and dive into agency work. I also have grown increasingly sick of the Florida heat and have made the drastic life decision to relocate to Portland, Maine this summer.
Will this Florida girl survive her first *real* winter?! It’s a real wait and see.
Meet the rest of the Dream Team.
